Do you have items that you need to send to another country quickly and safely?

PSS is an international removals company but we are also experts in sending parcels abroad, allowing customers to send on valuable or unusual goods without the cost of full or household removals. This could be anything from important documents for your job, items that you need immediately in your new destination or something as necessary as your golf clubs or guitar.

PSS International Removals can send these packages quickly, with our fastest parcels arriving within 24 hours of despatch. This will obviously be entirely dependent upon the delivery location. We can send to a variety of worldwide locations including the USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa. We can also deliver throughout Europe.

The process to sending packages is very simple. Visit our wesbite https://www.pssremovals.com/express-overseas-parcel-service.

Our simple form will ask you to choose which parcel you require. There are four choices:

– Economy Carton – 46x46x46 cms in size, 3.4 cubic feet in volume

– Tea Carton – 51x40x61 cms in size, 4.4 cubic feet in volume

– Book Carton – 46x46x26 cms, 1.9 cubic feet in volume

– Bike Carton – 147x22x96 cms, 10.9 cubic feet

You can also select packaging by popular items such as guitars, skis, snowboards, computer monitors, surfboards, golf clubs, tool boxes and pictures/mirrors.

If you don’t think your parcel fits into any of these options we can customise the delivery. All you need to do is fill in the form on the same page which asks for the weight, length, width and height of the object you wish to send. Once you have submitted these details along with the required destination and date you want to send your goods, our experts will reply with a quote.

If you are happy with the price you can then checkout and pay. If you’d prefer to receive a quote from one of PSS Removals’ many expert advisors you can do so by calling freephone 0800 988 3711 or by free mobile 0333 321 2822.

Once your quote is agreed and paid for, PSS will arrange to have your items collected and will also give you an estimated time of arrival in the new destination. Your goods may be sent by sea or air, depending upon the size and weight. You will need to supply PSS International Removals with a delivery address. This can be your new home, office or a family or friend’s location.

There really is nothing simpler. This is a popular service with individuals moving home after completing a working visa, study or travel in the UK.

If you are considering moving abroad PSS International removals can help. We are a family run company, which has specialised in international removals for over 35 years. We are committed to providing a friendly, professional and stress free overseas move for all our customers. Whether you’re sending a full or part household removal, excess baggage or a vehicle, we will ensure that you receive the highest level of care and attention.

Whether you’re taking your entire household belongings with you when you move abroad or just a car and a few boxes, PSS International Removals offer a streamlined service, at competitive rates. Is your move happening quickly? No problem. Time is not an issue for PSS. We can send your goods through our express service, taking the stress-free approach to moving thousands of miles away.

So how do you go about arranging your removal service? Getting a quote for the shipment couldn’t be easier. First you need to visit the PSS website  www.pssremovals.com and pick from one of the many options available, be it International Removals, Excess Baggage or Car Shipping. You will receive a competitive quote within 60 seconds. Alternatively you can speak to one of our Baggage Consultants to talk through your requirements. Call 0800 988 3711 for more information. There is even an option on the website to request a call back.

Excess baggage is easy to accommodate and especially handy if you just have a few boxes of belongings you want to take with you. The boxes come in different sizes and we can also arrange for unusually shaped items such as guitars and skis to be shipped separately. This is a great value option for smaller shipments. No need to pay for a container when all you need is partial space within it.

If you are sending a full or part household we will call you to arrange, a free, no obligation home survey. A consultant will then arrive to run through the whole process, informing you of how our service works and what to expect from moving day. Once the booking is finalised you will be allocated a PSS Move Manager who will request all the relevant paperwork and arrange the shipping details.

When it comes to removal day, our team will arrive to collect your cartons (if you’ve decided to pack for yourself) or start packing your goods, if this is the service you’ve chosen. They will also use a customs seal on your packages. This means that your container will not be opened until it arrives at your destination.

Once loaded onto the lorry, your goods will be driven to a UK port, where the documentation and customs seal will be checked before being loaded onto the vessel. After arrival in the new country, the goods may need to be checked by the official authorities, who will clear goods if they do not contravene agricultural, forestry or fisheries laws in the destination.

Soon after you arrive in your new home, PSS will call to arrange the delivery of your goods to the location of your choice. It really couldn’t be any easier.

Have you lived in a new country for a while but it hasn’t worked out or you’ve decided to move back home? Whatever your reason for returning, there are a number of factors worth considering first.

While there’s no place like home and you might be excited about being reunited with friends and family again, make sure you think through your decision carefully first.

Issues such as international removals & shipping, excess baggage, car shipping, migration services and customs information will all require careful research and planning.

Tax-wise, when you repatriate you will need to re-register with the relevant taxation body as well as start to consider how things might have changed whilst you have been abroad. Think about the cost of living back home and how that compares with the country that you have been living in as an expat. Additionally, how have costs changed in your home country? Assess your financial situation carefully and ensure that any contract you negotiate as part of an employment offer or acquisition will be sufficient to cover the living costs upon your return.

Returning expats find the task of re-establishing a financial foothold at home particularly challenging. If all ties with your home country have previously been severed it can be very difficult to arrange any type of credit or mortgage upon your return. With this in mind, ensure that you research as much as possible before leaving so that you are prepared for any resulting difficulties. If you bank internationally, via Lloyds for example, it can often be wise to attempt to transfer your account with the same bank as this will actually improve you credit rating.

Emotionally, in the same way that it is common for expats to experience culture shock when they first arrive in their new country, many returning expats experience a similar set of feelings as they attempt to readjust to their previous lifestyle. Being on the move can be stressful for most people and often result in a whole array of physical symptoms and illnesses. However, by ensuring that you are thoroughly prepared beforehand, this can help to ease your stress levels and deal with matters more calmly.

Many may need to turn to close family and friends to prepare their children mentally for the return home and the more time you spend discussing the move with them, the better the overall result will be.

However, above all else, stay positive and try and view repatriation as an exciting new start. Hopefully you will be enriched from the experiences you have had abroad but will also be reunited with your home country, so there is plenty to look forward to.

As a student you may have arrived to study in a new country with nothing more than a rucksack of clothes, your laptop and some favourite foods. Skip forward a year and you’ve suddenly found yourself with excess baggage that includes a guitar, a desk and a stash of course books – all of which you want to take back home with you.

Not much of a problem if your parents are coming to collect you and they can throw it all in the back of their car but more of an issue if home is several thousand miles away.

With budgets squeezed and airlines limited on what they can and can’t take the easiest and cheapest option could be an international removal service such as PSS, especially as we are now offering a 10% discount to students (code – students2015).

While taking an extra suitcase on an airplane may sometimes be the best option, especially if it’s fairly small, shipping home your cello or a few boxes of keepsakes needs specialist care and consideration.

At PSS we can tailor our Excess Baggage service to fit your requirements. If you need your belongings quickly, and have a bit more money to spend, you might like to consider the express airline rates. If however, money is tight and you’re not in any hurry, our sea freight delivery service may suit you better. Whatever your budget, we have a delivery option to suit you.

We can also offer you great deals on packing options. Whereas some companies may insist you have a standard size box or crate, regardless of what you have to pack, PSS have different shaped cartons for different shaped options.

We can also give you separate quotes if you have more unusual objects to send on. Want that snowboard shipped back? How about the trumpet you can’t be parted with? PSS can do it. These items will be priced individually and quotes are dependent upon their weight.

With the offer including free cartons and packing materials as well as free delivery and collection service for customers inside the M25, and just a small charge for outside delivery and collection outside, PSS really do have a student’s best packing interests at heart.

Leaving one country and returning home to another can bring with it a whole host of complications especially if you have acquired a selection of keepsakes that you just can’t leave behind. A suitcase or bag may have been all you required for the trip over but now you’re looking at boxes and cartons to send back all the books, clothes and kit you can’t live without.

Taking this excess baggage with you could be pricey but PSS International Removals specialises in making it easy and affordable, shipping goods to a number of worldwide destinations such as Australia, South Africa and the USA.

Discovering how much the shipment will cost is simple and all you need to do is fill in the free quotation form at https://www.pssremovals.com/excess-baggage

It’s an easy step-by-step process. You’ll be asked to use the online luggage calculator and select which cartons you think you’ll need.

Each container option is helpfully listed with its measurements beginning with an economy carton which is 46x46x46 cms and 3.4 cubic feet in volume. You’ll also have the choice of tea cartons, book cartons and bike cartons. These all vary in shape and size.

More unusually shaped objects can also be accommodated and popular belongings such as skis, snowboards, guitars and golf clubs can also be sent on to you. You’ll be asked for the weight of these items before you can receive a final costing.

Once you’ve completed the initial forms you’ll be asked to input your destination and the date you intend to leave before getting a quote. If you are happy with the price you can then checkout and pay. If you’d prefer to receive a quote from one of PSS Removals’ many expert advisors you can do so by calling freephone 0800 988 3711 or by Free Mobile 0333 321 2822.

Once your quote is agreed and paid for, PSS will arrange to have your luggage collected and will also give you an estimated time of arrival in your new destination. The size and weight of the package will determine how the goods are returned, either by ship or air, and this too will dictate how long it takes for them to arrive at the new destination. If you don’t have your new address confirmed you can inform PSS at a later date by phone or email.

There really is nothing simpler. This is a popular service with individuals moving home after completing a working visa, study or travel in the UK.

So you’ve decided which country you’d like to emigrate to, you have looked into job opportunities and the visa application process; but how do you go about moving your life overseas?

Well, obviously moving abroad isn’t quite the same as moving within the same country and can be a hugely daunting task if not thought through properly. International transport options for moving your household contents, excess baggage, vehicles and even pets are, whether by sea, road or air; slightly limited.

If you plan on moving to a new continent, then the bulk of your possessions will need to travel to your new home by container ship. Most migrants are pleasantly surprised to discover how quick the transit time actually takes to arrive at most far-flung destinations. Some arrivals can be as quick as 4 weeks with a maximum wait of 12 weeks. Should the transit time take between 8-12 weeks, it is strongly recommended that you take advantage of the airfreight or express service to ensure that anything urgent arrives at your destination as quickly as possible.

With all of this in mind, recruiting a professional, reliable and organised removals company, experienced at assisting with international relocations is a wise decision to make. If you are not on a relocation package that includes the services of a specific removal company, you’ll need to find your own; but how do you go about choosing the right one?

Start by researching as soon as possible because the process can take between 3-6 months. Once you begin gathering quotes, each company will most likely give you an estimate. To get a true, accurate quote, the company will look to book you a free household removal, excess baggage and car shipping quote to calculate precisely how much needs to be packed. If you’re receiving several quotes, be patient as there will be many factors to consider!

As a minimum you should select an international mover that has achieved the highest level of service within the industry by attaining FAIM ACCREDITATION which is the only independent Quality Assurance standard for the International Moving Industry.

You should also ask if the company is a Member of the FIDI Global alliance, British Association of Removers Overseas Group, and BAR OVERSEAS, which is covered by the I.M.M.I. Advance payment guarantee scheme for your financial protection.

If at all possible, ask friends and colleagues to recommend a company they may have used in the past or do your own rigorous research and contact two or three for an initial quote. Always make sure you judge each company on whether they can provide the services you need, which areas they cover nationally and internationally, scan for favorable reviews on and offline and research into whether they are reputable members of the various professional associations (such as BAR OVERSEAS and FIDI) or not.

The company will usually then send over a consultant to explain how it all works, discuss what’s most important to you, your overall volume of belongings, some estimated costs and answer any burning questions you might have.

Once you’ve spoken to all, review each company thoroughly and make sure you’re comparing price on a like-for-like basis. Did each offer similar or differing services, who seemed the most professional/knowledgeable and which offered the best value for money to get your home to your new destination in one piece?

Bear in mind that an international removal company should always offer insurance to cover against loss or damages during transit and most will offer deals as part of their quote for tailor-made transit cover or marine policy for example.

Seriously consider choosing a removal company that includes a packing service. It won’t break the bank and can save a huge amount of stress, time and energy. Furthermore, your chosen removal company will have all of the relevant contacts and partners in place to deal with the customs clearance for you and once everything has cleared, your goods will either be placed into temporary storage or delivered to your new home.
