Removals or Excess Baggage Shipping?

The size of your move determines the service you require, so whether you're sending a full or part household, we recommend a FREE HOME SURVEY. If you would like to move the majority of your home and effects then this would be classed as a full removal which would entail us, more times than not, loading your effects inside your own sole use sea freight container. If you are only intending on shipping half a household or a small quantity of selected items of furniture, we will only base our charges on the volume that you decide to ship. We would transport your goods back to one of our depots for consolidation, loading and shipment to Qatar.

Door to door shipping to Qatar

Here is a brief breakdown of our door to door shipping service:

We offer a quick and efficient sea freight service to Qatar where we can offer you the choice of either having your goods loaded at your door inside your own designated shipping container or alternatively you can share the space inside a container which would be loaded back at one of our depots. We will always ensure that we provide you with the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of your container well in advance of you leaving the UK.
We have a specialist team who will handle the customs clearance process to ensure that your goods are declared correctly. For example it is essential that your goods are declared as owned and used to qualify for duty free entry. New goods attract 5% duty but must be endorsed by the Qatar embassy prior to shipping.
When your sea freight container arrives in Qatar your goods will start the clearance process and all personal and household effects will be required to be off loaded into our customs approved warehouse before clearance can take place. No-one can access the goods until customs officials have completed their clearance. All goods arriving into Qatar will be subject to a 100% physical inspection. Items such as Computers will need a separate clearance procedure through Qatar customs, to speed up the process it would be advisable to send the specifications through in advance of your arrival to help obtain approval. CD's and DVD's are subject to censorship and will be inspected upon arrival, thee items are normally returned within 14 days.
As soon as we have received approval to release your goods we will contact you to arrange a delivery date. Alternatively, if you would require storage this can be arranged at the same point.

Transit times
When shipping your personal belongings to Qatar the transit time between removal in the UK and arrival at your new destination will be approximately 5-7 weeks for full container shipments and 7-10 weeks for part load shipments.

Have owned and used the household goods before the date of departure.
The goods are being imported for own personal use and not for sale, gift, disposal or exchange.

When you arrive in Qatar

When your container arrives in Qatar we will facilitate your clearance through customs and contact you to arrange delivery. Please note customs clearance of goods arriving by sea takes between 2-4 days.

Depending on the size of your shipment, your belongings will either be delivered in your seafreight container or in a separate vehicle.

Our unloading crew will place your items in the rooms of your choice, unwrap and remove the packing material from your furniture.
