International removals and shipping is far more complicated and requires a much higher level of expertise than moving domestically within the UK. The British Association of Removers
The British Association of Removers (BAR) is dedicated to promoting professional excellence in the UK removals industry.
To become a BAR Member a removal company has to prove that they can meet the high standards included in the BAR Code of Practice; companies are audited annually and their performance is monitored by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI). So only the best removal companies are able to meet these standards.
Members who display the BAR TSI Approved Code logo offer peace of mind and reliable customer service. This starts with the very first contact you have with the Member and continues not just to the completion of the move but through to your satisfaction.

In addition, PSS are members of the BAR Overseas Group which means we are accredited to the higher standards required for international moves.
Protected by the BAR Advanced Payment Guarantee Scheme
When you move with PSS International Removals you have the added security that advance payments for your removal are covered by the BAR Advanced Payment Guarantee Scheme.
This is like the international removals equivalent of ABTA for the travel industry so in the event of a BAR company Member suffering financial failure, the Guarantee Scheme covers the reasonable costs of completing the contracted move. It is therefore a very wise precaution to ensure whichever company you choose for your international removal is a member of this scheme.

FIDI Global Alliance

FAIM Quality Certification
The FAIM Quality Certification programme is the only independently audited certification programme for the international moving and relocation industry. If a company holds the FAIM Certification, it means that they are compliant with strict, industry-specific requirements. The FIDI-FAIM certification programme requires that international movers have a periodic independent assessment of their inter-continental moving activities through an independent audit which is performed every three years.
PSS was recently awarded the FIDI-FAIM “top performer status”, following a quality assessment audit by Ernst & Young, making us one of the highest ranked international removal companies in the world.
International Association of Movers
The International Association of Movers (IAM) is the moving and forwarding industry’s largest global trade association. With more than 2,000 members, it comprises companies that provide moving, forwarding, shipping, logistics, and related services in more than 170 countries.

Based in France, Demeco International is a leading network of removals companies undertaking over 100,000 moves per year. As an international partner, PSS specialises in facilating removals between France and other international destinations including the UK.
The Movers Trading Club
PSS International Removals is an authorised member and agent of The Movers Trading Club Ltd (MTC) which is a Foreign (non-USA) based ‘Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier’ (NVOCC) registered with the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), organisation number 027552.
Membership allows us to negotiate advantageous shipping rates with the largest shipping lines which can then be passed on to our customers.
The Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman
We adhere to the British Association of Removers Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme which is independently operated by The Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO).
