These quotes are for a full removals service including packing and door-to-door delivery. Obviously, the exact cost will depend on many factors including the current exchange rate.

When is payment due and will I have to pay a deposit?

Our payment terms are 7 days before removal day and we require a £350 deposit when booking your removal.

Are there additional charges?

All of our estimates are quoted as a door-to-door service. This service includes the standard custom clearance as well as other related charges. All related charges information will be clearly listed in your removals quote and explained to you by your Account Manager.

However, due to the nature of removals and shipping, it is highly recommended that you take out a Maritime Insurance policy or Shipment Protection Cover. At PSS we offer and recommend Shipment Protection Cover which is very flexible and has a lot of advantages.

PSS International Shipment Protection Cover

We provide a very flexible shipment protection cover through Basil Fry & Company – the UK’s leading insurance broker for international removals and shipping:

• Our policy is quick and easy to set up, simply complete our Shipment Protection valuation form with the items you would like to cover and their values.
• Removal (we pack) consignments cover costs 3.5% of the total insurable value you declare.
• Vehicle shipments cover costs 2% of the vehicles declared value.
• Self-Pack (you pack) consignments cover cost 5% of the total insurable value you declare.
• Baggage/Airfreight consignments, which are owner packed, will cost 5% of the total insurable value you declare.

Prohibited Imports into the UAE include:

• Weapons,
• Firearms (real or ornamental)
• Ammunition,
• Fire crackers,
• Swords, daggers, spears, etc.,
• Military uniform or equipment,
• Alcohol, spirits, narcotics of all kinds
• Poppy seeds and flowers, leaves etc.,
• Banned drugs and medicines, medicines in large quantities even obtained under prescription and for the consignee’s own use,
• Radio transmitter or communication equipment,
• Statues and figures of animals with religious undertone,
• Carvings and statues of humans especially in nude,
• Pornographic materials,
• Foodstuff in large quantities,
• Religious books other than dealing with Islamic beliefs, controversial political literature and materials contrary to an Islamic State’s principles.
• Goods of Israeli origin or bearing Israeli flags and emblems.
• Gambling tools, machineries and devices of all kinds.
• E-cigarettes and electronic hookah.
• Laser pointers.

NB: If any of these items are found in the shipment during the inspection by UAE Customs, they will be confiscated and, in some cases, explanation will be asked from the consignees and severe punishment can be imposed including fines or imprisonment.

Restricted Imports into UAE include:

• Records, tapes, films, photographs, books, magazines, periodicals, 2 wheel hoverboard etc.
• Live plants, seeds, fresh fruits and flowers are coming under restricted items, if found objectionable, they will destroy the same and never return these to the consignee.

These items will be subject to review and censorship by the UAE Ministry of Information.

These items will be released if nothing abnormal is found.
