What is a consignee?
A consignee is a person or organisation named on the Bill of Lading and customs documentation as the legal recipient of a shipment. In a personal household removal, the consignee is almost always the customer themselves at their new overseas address. Your name and destination address as consignee must appear exactly and correctly on all shipping documentation — errors can cause customs delays or prevent goods from being released.
