What is excess baggage?
Excess baggage is personal items and luggage that exceed an airline’s standard baggage allowance. Shipping excess baggage with PSS via sea or air freight is typically far more cost-effective than paying the airline’s excess baggage fees, particularly for heavy or bulky items.
Also known as: Oversize baggage, additional baggage
PSS Tip: Airline excess baggage charges for international routes can be very high — often £12–£18 per kg. Shipping bags with PSS by sea is nearly always cheaper for anything over two or three extra bags.
