What is export packing?
Packing specifically designed and rated for the conditions of international export — sea freight, air freight, or long-haul road transit. Export packing standards are significantly more robust than domestic removal packing because goods may be in transit for four to twelve weeks, containers experience significant movement and vibration at sea, and goods pass through multiple handling points. Export packing involves double-walled cartons, custom timber crating for fragile items, sealed waterproof wrapping, and packing materials rated for the expected transit conditions.
