Household goods are all the contents of a private home that form part of the family’s or individual’s everyday domestic life are moved as part of a residential relocation. For customs purposes, household goods imported as part of a permanent or long-term relocation typically qualify for duty-free entry in most countries, provided they have been owned and used for the required period.
