What is moving day?
Moving day or removal day, is the day on which PSS’s packing and loading team arrives at your UK property to professionally pack your belongings and load them into the removal vehicle. What to expect on moving day:
- The PSS team will arrive at the agreed time — usually between 8 am and 9 am
- You or a responsible adult must be present throughout unless agreed otherwise
- The team will work systematically through your home, packing all agreed items
- All items will be listed on the packing inventory as they are packed
- You will be asked to sign the completed packing inventory before the team leaves
- The loading vehicle will depart for the PSS depot or port

PSS Tip: Prepare for moving day by sorting and labelling items you do not want packed; ensuring clear access to all rooms, including lofts and garages; defrosting fridges and freezers at least 48 hours in advance; draining washing machines and dishwashers; and keeping important documents, keys, medications, and overnight essentials separate.
