What is a port of discharge?
A port of discharge is the destination port at which a shipment is unloaded from the vessel. The port of discharge is specified on the Bill of Lading. For shipments to Australia, the main ports of discharge are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle (Perth), and Adelaide.
