What is a quotation?
A quotation is a formal document provided by PSS setting out the scope and cost of your international removal. PSS provides different types of quotes:
- Indicative online quotation — based on estimated average volumes using our online cost calculator, which provides a rough estimate.
- Survey quote – A more accurate estimate based on volume calculated by a PSS surveyor/estimator.
- Self-survey quote – based on the volume of the items that a customer supplies.
- Quotes generally include door-to-door collection and delivery, packing materials, standard customs clearance and export packing for our removals service.
- Quotes don’t include customs inspection fees, duties and taxes or additional products and services such as standard liability cover and custom crates.
- Quotes are estimates, and your final cost will be based on the volume you actually ship and the rates in effect at the time of shipping.
