What is a residency?
A residency is a legal status of living in a particular country. Residency is relevant to international removals primarily because most countries’ duty-free personal effects exemptions are only available to people moving to the destination country to reside, not to visitors or tourists. It is important that you have the correct residency requirements for shipping your goods overseas, e.g., a permanent residency visa or a national of that country.
