Sea freight is the transportation of goods by ship across an ocean or sea. Sea freight is the standard method used for international household removals because it is significantly more cost-effective than air freight for large volumes, even though it takes longer. Transit times typically range from one to two weeks for European destinations to five to eight weeks for Australia, New Zealand, and the Americas.
