What is storage?
Storage is the temporary or long-term holding of goods in a secure facility, either in the UK before or after your removal, or at the destination country via PSS’s agent network. Storage commonly arises when:
- You need to leave your UK home before your sailing date
- Your sailing is delayed
- Your new home is not ready when your goods arrive at the destination port
Storage is typically charged per week based on the volume of goods stored.

PSS Tip: If you think you may need storage at either end of your move, discuss this with your PSS Account Manager at the quoting stage. Arranging storage in advance is easier and often more cost-effective than requesting it at short notice.
