What are white goods?
White goods are large household electrical appliances — washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers, cookers, and ovens. White goods require specific preparation before shipping: they must be completely drained of water, defrosted (fridges and freezers), and have their drums secured (washing machines and tumble dryers).

PSS Tip: Defrost your fridge and freezer at least 48 hours before moving day and leave the doors open to dry completely. Drain your washing machine by running a short spin cycle with the drum empty. A damp or wet appliance can cause serious water damage to everything packed near it and may be considered a biohazard in some countries.
