A x-ray screening is a non-invasive inspection method used by customs authorities to examine the contents of boxes and containers without opening them. Routinely used at many ports as a first-stage check before deciding whether a physical inspection is warranted. X-ray screening does not damage photographic film, electronics, or other items.
